Rumor has it that apple might delay their new Iphone 5 until Fall for a number of reasons. The main reason is that lots of people expected an 8 megapixel camera on this new device. This advanced camera requires a sensor that plays an important role in making the quality outstanding. Apple was going to acquire this part from Sony, a well know camera company. As many people know Sony is a Japanese company and Japan had recently had a tsunami as well as an earthquake. Sony's main 6 production factory's have taken heavy damage from both natural disasters and cannot produce such an advanced part as of now. This could go one of two ways. 1. Apple could use a different company for the sensor however Sony is one of the best camera manufacturers in the world and the near the most reputable for their outstanding products. If Apple uses a different company the quality might not be as good as Sony. 2. Apple could wait until Sony renovates their company which could take longer than a few months. Although this option sounds a lot better, Apple might have people waiting another year for the Iphone 5 if they wait for Sony to recover. Let's hope that we find out the real reason why soon too.
